How a recovery works

  1. Turn the device off. Clicking or grinding drives get worse with every power-on attempt.
  2. Free evaluation. We identify whether the failure is logical or physical and tell you the tier and price in writing.
  3. Your approval. No work starts until you approve the quote.
  4. Recovery and verification. You confirm your important files open correctly. If nothing usable is recovered, you pay nothing.
  5. Prevention. We return your files on a new drive and can set up automated, off-site backups so it doesn't happen again.

Preventing the next data loss

Most data-loss calls could have been a simple restore. Follow the 3-2-1 rule: three copies of your data, on two different types of media, with one copy off-site or in the cloud. In South Florida that off-site copy matters most during hurricane season, which runs June 1 to November 30 (NOAA). Test a restore at least once a quarter, and keep servers and network storage on a UPS so a power cut doesn't corrupt files mid-write. If ransomware is involved, report it to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (ic3.gov) before paying anything.

Logical failures (deleted files, a corrupted partition) are usually the most recoverable. Physical failures (failed heads, water or fire damage) need the drive opened in a clean-room environment, which is why they cost more and take longer. FAQ

Data Recovery Questions

Basic Recovery usually takes 2–3 business days, Advanced Recovery 3–5 business days and Critical Recovery 1–2 weeks. Emergency cases can be prioritized, and you get a time estimate after the free evaluation.
We handle physical damage including dropped drives, water damage, and circuit board failures using specialized equipment.
Yes. If you have encryption keys, we can decrypt and recover your data. Contact us for specific scenarios.
Our "No Data, No Fee" policy means you only pay if we successfully recover your data. There's no risk in trying.
Simple logical failures (accidental deletion, corrupted file systems) can often be diagnosed and resolved within a day. Physical damage — a dropped drive, water exposure, mechanical failure — takes longer since it may require careful disassembly in a controlled environment. We give you a realistic timeline after the initial diagnostic, not before.
